Overview

Pacifico Energy Partners GmbH is a renewable energy company for wind and solar energy. We develop greenfield projects, repower existing plants, provide state-of-the-art asset management services and facilitate the acquisition of operational and turn-key plants. The portfolio of assets we provide asset management services for includes plants in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. For project development we are active in several additional countries of the European Union such as Poland and Spain. We are conscious that the vision of a sustainable energy market cannot be realised by us alone. We strongly believe that long-term and open collaborations on an equal footing will contribute greatly to our success. We act on this conviction by establishing close and transparent cooperations with our external partners, service providers and customers.

Our strategy

We strategically focus our activities on onshore wind and solar power plants throughout Europe. Thanks to our diverse expertise and proven network of professional partners, we are able to successfully participate in a variety of activities: we drive new development projects from the very beginning, manage plants throughout their entire operational phase and advise and broker the acquisition of operational plants.

Our corporate strategy is centred around three main pillars: Project Development, Asset Management and Investment Management.

Project Development
Our strategic approach to the development and project planning of new plants is driven by our entrepreneurial approach as well as by our expertise in the energy sector and in project finance. We develop projects along the full development cycle and have the skills and expertise to ensure project success and quality, making us the ideal partner for many developers and EPCs. Our finance know-how not only allows us to secure the financing to construct our project pipeline, but also improves the profitability of development projects.

Asset Management
Due to our experience, expertise and international team we are able to provide highly professional asset management services for renewable energy power plants located in various countries. Relying on years of experience in the field of commercial management, we closely monitor the evolving technological trends and the continuous development of this sector, which enables us to secure and optimise the long-term profitability of the plants under our management.

Investment Management
The brokerage of operational or turnkey wind and solar power plants represents our third strategic
pillar. Thanks to flat hierarchies and short communication channels, we react quickly to new
opportunities and can source attractive investment opportunities. We provide support along the
acquisition process from the search for interesting projects, the examination of their profitability to
the structuring of optimal financing models.

Onshore wind power project development in Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Poland

Pacifico started development activities in Poland in November 2018 with the acquisition of project rights for the development and construction of several onshore wind farms. The project consists of three sites with a combined capacity of around 52 MW in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region. We recently secured senior debt financing for the parks. Construction is expected to be completed in 2021. Moreover, our successful participation in the 2019 renewables auction was another important step towards minimising market risk and securing long-term stable revenues.
Poland is a particularly interesting market for us also beyond this project. The country still heavily relies on fossil fuels for their power generation. However, the energy transition is gathering traction in Poland and the country pursues ambitious targets to expand renewable generation during the next years. We are excited to contribute to this transition.

PV project development in Sicily, Italy

Pacifico has been working on a major project development in Sicily, Italy since the second half of 2019. The project is expected to achieve a total capacity of 75 MW through the construction of seven large ground-mounted PV plants distributed across two clusters. The expected capacity of each individual plant will be between 5 and 35 MW. The modules will be installed on substructures with single-axis tracking systems for maximum yield.
Given favourable climate conditions and attractive electricity prices in the region, the project is viable without any public subsidies. We expect the construction phase to commence shortly after all land, permits and grid access have been secured. In this project, Pacifico leverages the expertise of local cooperation partners with a proven success track record.
